I am a historian and maker of things.

 

My academic research and artistic practice tend to inform and inspire each other. While transparent watercolor tends to be my go-to medium, I enjoy learning about and working with different kinds of materials. Plants have been a favorite subject of mine, but I am also fascinated by fauna (especially whales), architectural elements, textiles, and many other things.
